Based in Alice Springs but servicing clients throughout Australia, they've maintained a strong customer base, including a variety of council and government contracts, thanks to their strong customer service and commitment to quality.
About the Opportunity
CKS Electrical is currently looking for two full-time Electricians to join their team in Alice Springs, NT.
You'll be carrying out electrical work for a variety of residential, council and government projects both in Alice Springs and surrounding remote communities, with regular travel on a weekly basis. This remote work can often require 5-6 days away at a time, and you'll be paid an additional allowance as well as having food and accommodation provided.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Performing general maintenance, identifying faults and completing renovations;
- Carrying out new installation work, including installing and upgrading switchboards, lights and fans;
- Reading, understanding, and carrying out works according to Electrical and Architectural plans;
- Ensuring all work is completed according to Australian Electrical Safety Standards;
- Working autonomously and managing your time on remote work sites; and
- Providing timely customer service and advice as required.
About You
To be considered for this position you'll be a trade qualified Electrician with experience in general repairs and maintenance.
Proactive and self-motivated, you will need to be able to manage your time and work effectively, particularly on remote sites. You'll also need solid communication skills, and be confident communications with clients, suppliers and the wider CKS team.
A split-system air conditioning license or an interest in this field would be a bonus, allowing you to lend a hand with installations and maintenance for this side of the CKS Electrical business.
Please note: You will require a current, valid Driver's License and ideally hold a White Card, though this is not essential. You will also need to supply your own tools of the trade.

CKS Electrical will also provide a general use vehicle and cover your accommodation whilst travelling, including $50 per night for food or other costs. Relocation assistance is negotiable for the right candidates, to help you get settled in town.
